Who we are
Fanmatcher is run by Kyle Page, a sole trader, at 28 May Road, Brighton, East Sussex, BN2 3EB, United Kingdom. For privacy questions or requests, email website@fanmatcher.com.
Information we collect
When you use the website, our server may record your IP address, browser and device information, pages requested, and the time of your visit. If you create an account, contact us, leave a comment or review, or place an order, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery addresses, order details, and messages. WooCommerce also uses temporary cart and session identifiers. We do not store your full payment card number on our website.
Why we use it
- Orders and accounts: to provide products, checkout, delivery, customer support, and any account you request. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract or steps you ask us to take before a contract.
- Records: to keep invoices, tax records, and information needed to meet legal obligations.
- Security and service: to protect the website, prevent fraud, answer enquiries, and resolve disputes. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business, subject to your rights.
- Optional marketing or non-essential cookies: only if introduced and you have given any required consent. We do not currently run advertising or analytics cookies on the public site.
Who receives information
Our web host processes data needed to run the site. We share information needed to fulfil orders with delivery companies. If WooPayments is enabled, payment and billing information needed to process a transaction is shared with WooPayments and its payment partner, Stripe; we receive payment status and related transaction information, not full card details. We may share records with professional advisers, HMRC, regulators, or law enforcement where required by law. We do not sell customer personal information.
How long we keep information
Cart and session information is short-lived. Account information is kept while your account is open, unless we need some information for an order, legal obligation, or dispute. We keep order and tax records for at least five years after the 31 January submission deadline for the relevant tax year, or longer if an enquiry or legal obligation requires it. We keep enquiries and technical logs only as long as needed for the purpose collected, and review them for deletion.
International services
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use a lawful transfer route and appropriate safeguards as required by UK data protection law. Contact us for details of the providers and safeguards relevant to your information.
Your rights
You can ask to access or correct your information and, in some circumstances, ask us to erase it, restrict its use, transfer it, or stop processing it. You can withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent. Email website@fanmatcher.com to make a request. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
